Best Time to Visit Upper Mustang

The best time to visit Upper Mustang is during spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November). Spring is ideal for relishing the colorful celebration of the Tiji Festival (upper Mustang) with clear skies, blossoming landscapes, and pleasant temperatures, while autumn offers peace on the trails, excellent views, and great weather for trekking. The monsoon months (June–August) are not ideal due to heavy rainfall and slippery trails. The winter months (December–February) are not recommended for a visit because of strong winds and snow-capped heights. Visiting during spring or autumn assures a safe, scenic, and culture-enriched trek in the Upper Mustang region.
